The Canadian Cement Association's members are companies with clinker and cement manufacturing facilities, granulating facilities and distribution, grinding facilities and cement terminals. Their parent corporations are represented in more than 45 countries on five continents and belong to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development Cement Sustainability Initiative (CSDCSI). With 15 cement plants and more than 1,100 locations manufacturing cement-based products, we employ more than 27,000 people, represent one of Canada’s thirteen major manufacturing sectors and contribute over $3.3 billion to Canada's Gross National Product.
The Canadian cement industry has earned a world class reputation for innovation, product quality, environmental performance and research. The industry is committed to a green product and sustainable communities. We pursue this goal through the environmentally responsible manufacturing of cement and the research, development and provision of cement and concrete products that contribute to sustainable construction of homes, buildings and roadways.
CAC members work with leading environmental groups around the world and also support Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter for everyone a matter of conscience and action.
